Dr. Norberto Giglio

Norberto Giglio is a Medical Doctor, specialist in Pediatrics with postgraduate studies in Pharmacoepidemiology. Professor of Epidemiology at the School of Medicine, Universidad Austral, Argentina.

Member of the Epidemiology Depart-ment of the Ricardo Gutierrez Children´s Hospital, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Master in Pharmacoepidemiology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 2009 and the Mérieux Foundation -University of Geneva Advanced Course of Vaccinology (ADVAC) France in 2016.

Principal investigator and co-investigator of multiple research studies in Latin America. International consultant for the Pan American Health Organization / World Health Organization and for the Sa-bin Vaccine Institute.

Member of the Global Vaccine Data Network. Recipient of the Epidemiology Award of the Argentine Medical Association (2010); of Pediatrics - National Academy of Medicine (2011); NAKANO Award 2019 National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases (NCEZID) of the CDC (2019). He has published more than 50 scientific articles in recognized journals.

Current Chairman of the Research Ethics Committee of the Ricardo Gutierrez Children´s Hospital; Chairman of the Pediatric Research Subcommittee of the Argentine Society of Pediatrics. Member of the IPA Vaccine Hesitancy Project. Guest Editor for Special Issue "Vaccination and Public Health" Vaccines Jour-nal.

Leading member of Maternal Safety in Global Vaccine Data Network.
