Ricardo Bernardi is a Medical Doctor and Psychiatrist. Master in Psychoanalysis (APU). Doctor in Psychology (UBA). Professor Emeritus of the School of Medicine. Honorary Member of the Uruguayan Psychoanalytic Association.

Honorary Member of the Uruguayan Society of Psychiatry. Member of the National Academy of Medicine of Uruguay. Researcher of the National Agency of Research and Innovation of Uruguay (ANII).

Consultant of the Clinical Observa-tion Committee of the International Psychoanalytic Association (IPA). Former Vice-Chair of the Scientific Research Committee of the IPA. Former Latin Ameri-can Editor of the International Journal of Psychoanalysis.

Awards: Sigourney Award (1999). Extraordinarily Meritorious Service to the IPA Award (2021).
